THCA & Delta-9,
the basics.

THCA converts into Delta-9 THC when heated. Delta-9 is the main cannabinoid responsible for the cannabis “high.” Both the amount and the way a product is used affect the experience.

What should I look for on a label?

Check the cannabinoid amounts, serving size, and batch number. A certificate of analysis (COA) lists what a lab measured in the tested sample. THCA and Delta-9 may be listed separately; “total THC” accounts for THC that can form from THCA. Match the report to your batch, and check which contaminants were actually tested. A report is not a guarantee that a product is risk-free.

Why are edibles different?

Edible effects can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to appear and may last longer than expected. Taking more before effects appear can lead to overconsumption. Do not drive after using THC, and keep cannabis products away from children and pets.
